Prototype teaser sells idea

Prototype.jpgPrototype is a prototype trailer for a film called Prototype, like what I did there? Thought not, either did I. The Bandito Brothers are the team who produced Act of Valor and a teaser has appeared online for their latest film, Prototype.

It tells the story of a man who is merging machine with man the result of which is called Prototype and is on the run from authorities who want him, or it, recaptured.

That's about as much as you can gleam from the teaser for now, but it does look rather interesting especially as it stars Neil McDonough, comes from the Bandito Brothers production company, and the plan is apparently to produce it in the vein of District 9 (Filmstalker review), that means cheap but strong.

The story from Deadline reveals that the teaser has been leaked online and that the writer and director of the film is Andrew Will. Apparently he, his production partner Shawn Wallace, Cantina Creative and the Bandito Brothers have been scouting locations and designing tests for the action sequences of the film.
