Resident Evil: Retribution 3D trailer released
Oh dear me, this trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution 3D is more attention grabbing for the atypical "throw things at the screen" 3D moments than anything, and for me that's a shame because the trailer is suggesting another strong addition to the Resident Evil franchise.
Yes, I know you're going to berate me for saying that but the franchise has been getting better and better and is rather enjoyable to watch, as is the character of Alice. Now though, things are being turned upside down and I'm not sure how this is going to be welcomed to the franchise or what effect it will have.
The trailer for the new film Resident Evil: Retribution 3D seems to do a Bobby Ewing Dallas, I know most of you will be wondering what that is all about and what it means, but basically it's where the main character wakes up and realises that everything the audience has been watching has been a dream in order to forget the plot decisions made by the writers to date and allow them to go back on what they've already done.
With Resident Evil: Retribution 3D it looks like we might be getting a big one of these moments as it seems to suggest dead characters coming back, and not in the T-Virus zombie way either. As Alice awakes there's a promise that everything is not as it seems, and more than a promise, even the visuals of a broken dream from way back are telling us that it's all been a dream.
Then we see returning faces, faces we thought were gone, and with that we have a very confusing story about the controlling of cities by Umbrella Corporation and...well...why don't you have a look and make up your own mind.
Here's the blurb for Resident Evil: Retribution 3D:
"The Umbrella Corporation's deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race's last and only hope, Alice, awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun."
It doesn't tell you that the film is in 3D but the trailer that comes through TrailerAddict does a superb job of that, duck.
Wow. That's really 3D. Waht do you think of the rest of the trailer though? What is the film going to bring us and are those returning faces welcome? Where is it going to take us and the franchise and will it be somewhere we want to go? This could be a huge Bobby Ewing Dallas moment for Alice.
