Jack and Diane trailer is rather disconcerting
Mind you, it does have Kylie Minogue and Juno Temple kissing Riley Keough, but that's not the strange part, not by a long shot. The strange part comes in the animations between the film scenes and the suggestion as to what it represents. It ends up being rather creepy, and I mean that in a Japanese horror kind of way.
There's no horror in the trailer though, not away from these animated sequences anyway, but there is a hint of feelings that might be indicate a less than healthy mental state may be approaching for one of the characters, but that doesn't seem to be what the blurb says.
No, the official blurb for Jack and Diane is suggesting something a little different:
Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane's charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack's tough skinned heart. But when Jack discovers that Diane is moving, she pushes her away. Unable to grasp her new feelings, Diane's emotions begin to cause unexplainable violent changes to her body. Through these awkward and insecure feelings, the two girls must struggle to turn their first love into an enduring one.
Well what do you think of that then? Really you need to see the trailer which is over at Apple Trailers and below through TrailerAddict. Seeing this will give you the stranger feelings about the film and what could happen. This idea about the "...unexplainable violent changes to her body." and the animated sequence sin the trailer have got the imagination going.
Here's the trailer for Jack and Diane:
Yes it really does feature Kylie Minogue, and yes she really is kissing a lady.
