New Little White Lies (Les petits mouchoirs) trailer is worth watching
More than that, this is worth seeing. There's a great cast, a strong story to set you off on the journey of the characters in the film but it's the cast and the man behind the keyboard and the camera that should really pull you into the film.
Guillaume Canet has written and directed the film, although his IMDB credit clearly states "scenario and dialogue" but lists no other writer which is interesting, and it stars a number of excellent French actors including François Cluzet, Marion Cotillard, Gilles Lellouche and Jean Dujardin.
At least Marion Cotillard's role here isn't destroyed by her casting announcement and neither does her role look to be paper thin. Yes I am referring to The Dark Knight Rises.
I've seen the other actors in a number of films and really taken to them so I'm keen to see them in this ensemble film, especially with the new trailer which really sells Little White Lies (Les petits mouchoirs) well. Here's the blurb for the film:
A near-fatal accident leaves one friend in the hospital while the rest go on their annual vacation. But their secrets and personal grief threaten to drive them apart.
Now here's the new trailer for the film which comes through First Showing which starts with laughing but doesn't stay that way for long.
I really like the look of this film, and since Guillaume Canet is directing I'm particularly keen to see it, after all he's written and directed the excellent Tell No One (Filmstalker review).
