Silent Hill: Revelation 3D trailer arrives

SilentHillRevelation.jpgThere are four things that are obvious about the trailer for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. One is that it isn't filled with 3D exploitative moments; the second is that the ending scene may have been revealed; third Sean Bean seems to be in it a lot more, and lastly the effects look very good.

I know that Silent Hill isn't the highest grossing or quality of films out there but you have to admit that the trailer does set the film pretty high up in terms of quality and scare potential, although it would do much better for me if the 3D element wasn't there.

Michael J. Bassett has written and directed this outing in Silent Hill and with his Solomon Kane and Deathwatch you can see why he was a good choice for this franchise. Sean Bean, Radha Mitchell and Deborah Kara Unger return to the franchise for this film along with new names Carrie-Anne Moss, Malcolm McDowell, Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington.

Here's the blurb for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D:

Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

Now here's that all important trailer which comes through TrailerAddict. I would say that it might give away a scene close to the end, it's really hard to tell but considering we're shown a key item and then it being used on a character played by a big actor in the film I think it's an important moment which might give away too much. Mind you, it might fly by you or it might not be that important.
