Closed: The Dark Knight Rises Competition: Win cinema tickets or The Dark Knight

TheDarkKnightRises-Bane.jpgI'm delighted to announce that I've been given some excellent prizes to give away on behalf of the upcoming third Batman film from Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises. The prizes consist of cinema vouchers so you can go and see the film for free, or any film for that matter, and DVD's or Blu-rays of The Dark Knight.

It's a great prize to promote a great film, and if you win the cinema vouchers then you could be heading to the cinema to see the last of Christian Bale as Batman, and as always it's free and easy to enter.

The Dark Knight Rises is the third and final Batman film from Christopher Nolan, well he says that now but who knows what could happen in the future. Christian Bale returns once again to play Bruce Wayne and Batman - oh no, was that a spoiler? - and with him are returning Michael Caine as Alfred, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon and Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul.

There are also a few new faces too with Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple and of course the big name that Batman will be up against, Tom Hardy as Bane.

It's a fantastic line-up of talent, and let's not forget Nolan and his brother Jonathan Nolan writing the screenplay from the story that he and David S. Goyer created.

I am truly excited. The first two Nolan Batman films were fantastic and the last one promises so much more with an equally iconic villain in the guise of Hardy's Bane. I saw a preview of it and it looked fantastic, even if Bane's voice was a struggle back then, now we're closing in on the release date and a chance to see the legend ending.

With that I have a prize to give away to mark the release of this fantastic film and it comes from Ladbrokes who have just released a new video slot game which features The Dark Knight throughout and cool touches like Cinematic Spins where the game will play clips from the film and progressive jackpots starting from £10 for a mini to £1,000,000 and upwards for a Mega. You can have a look at the game and preview it from the Ladbrokes Dark Knight game official site.

Ladbrokes have been very generous with the prizes that they've given me for the competition so it would be a nice thank you just to have a quick look at their Dark Knight game site, and don't worry there's no big adverts popping up or anything, just the site and the game, and if you look at the preview you'll see what to expect as well as getting the stirring music to get you going.

What of those prizes? Well I already teased you about them but let me tell you exactly what's on offer.

The first prize is a £20 voucher for the cinema of your choice, and I've been given two sets of those to give away.

The second prize is a DVD or a Blu-ray of the excellent The Dark Knight for you to enjoy prior to heading out to see The Dark Knight Rises, and remind yourself of the story as well as Heath Ledger's excellent Joker. I have three of these to give away.

So how do you win? Well it's simple. First you'll look at the following question and select an answer, then select the link which will open an email for you to enter the following information:

1. Your name
2. Your UK postal address
3. The answer, obviously
4. Which cinema you would like vouchers for if you won the first prize
5. Whether you would like a DVD or Blu-ray if you won the second prize.

It's that simple. As normal there are a couple of rules:

1. You must select the link to enter the competition - this isn't an advertising or tracking ploy, it's just to make sure you enter the competition through this site. Advertising pays to keep the non-profit Filmstalker running and if no one visits, it doesn't earn enough to cover the costs.
2. You must have a UK postal address to enter the competition.
3. One entry per person.
4. Competition closes for entries on 19th July 2012 at 23:59 UTC.
5. Winners will be selected at random from the correct entries and notified by email.
6. Prizes will be posted out soon after the winners are notified.

Simple, isn't it? Now to the question.

In which other Batman live-action film does the character of Bane appear and who played Batman in that film?

Seriously, I'm not joking, that really is the question. It's an easy one even if there are two parts.

So remember the rules and what's required in the email, and then select the following link to fill out an email and enter the competition. Easy, so get entering.

Competition closed

Just to say a big thank you to Ladbrokes' The Dark Knight video slot game featuring cinematic spins and amazing jackpots for giving me these smaller but still fantastic prizes to give away in the competition. You can visit their game at their official site and have a preview before you get stuck in for real.

Get entering and good luck!
