10 Years trailer, a waste of talent?
Oh dear me. I wasn't really going to write anything about this trailer but sometimes you just feel the need to say look how bland and uninteresting something looks and, as I said in the title, what a waste of talent something appears to be.
That's exactly what I felt about the trailer for 10 Years that I've just watched. Let's see if you think the same.
This is the directorial debut of Jamie Linden who also wrote the film, he also wrote Dear John and We Are Marshall so there's definitely good stuff there already, it's just that the trailer here doesn't sell the film at all and all we seem to get is a rather dull story which doesn't sound like it's going to inspire that much.
Here's the blurb for 10 Years that, well let me hand over the job of selling the film to the marketing people.
Jake is deeply in love with his girlfriend and ready to propose - until he runs into his high school flame for the first time in ten years. Jake's friend Cully married his cheerleader girlfriend, and has been looking forward to the reunion so he can finally apologize to all the classmates he bullied in high school. However, after a few too many drinks, the jock-turned-family man ends up reverting back to his old ways instead. Meanwhile, longtime rivals Marty and A.J spend the night still trying to one-up each other to impress the coolest girl in class, who now has a secret. The famous one of the group, Reeves, is now well-known musician, but is still too shy to talk to the high school crush who inspired his one hit wonder.
Now to those who made the trailer and the film, the trailer for 10 Years comes through TrailerAddict:
Well what did you think of the trailer? I can't help but wondering why.
