Deadfall stars Erica Bana, Olivia Wilde, Charlie Hunnam, Sissy Spacek and Kris Kristofferson, is written by first time writer Zach Dean and comes from director Stefan Ruzowitzky who received a lot of praise for his film The Counterfeiters. It tells the story of two fugitives on the run, a brother and sister, and the sister is picked up by a man with a troubled past returning home for the first time in a long time.

The blurb is vague and doesn't go into too much detail, but suffice to say it looks like the man never bargained on the rather unhinged fugitive brother arriving on the scene nor did they bargain on what the man is capable of.

It looks like Deadfall could be up close and personal and deliver a strong thriller with some powerful characters, and of course we're going to see Charlie Hunnam rise up to fight back against these two fugitives once he realises he's been duped and how much trouble his family is in.

Will Stefan Ruzowitzky deliver? With Eric Bana and Hunnam going head to head I'd say he's onto a good thing already, and it's great to see Hunnam working outside of the excellent Sons of Anarchy. There's a lot of potential in the film even if it does sound like a lot of other stories of kidnap, fight back and revenge that we've heard before.
