Seven Psychopaths trailer with Farrell, Rockwell, Harrelson and Walken
Sounds a great line-up doesn't it? Well it sounds even better when you hear the cast list is Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish, Olga Kurylenko, Tom Waits and Zeljko Ivanek and it's written and directed by Martin McDonagh who previously wrote and directed In Bruges. You're in now aren't you?
The film has similarly comedic and dramatic lines to In Bruges although Seven Psychopaths definitely seems to have more off the wall moments and characters, and that won't be a bad thing will it?
The story for Seven Psychopaths is pretty simple, here's the blurb:
A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu.
Short indeed. Colin Farrell plays the screenwriter, returning from his In Bruges adventure with McDonagh, and when his friends Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken kidnap the dog of a major psychopath played by Woody Harrelson they're suddenly in very big trouble.
The trailer, which comes through Machinima and First Showing, is a little sporadic but there are some great moments in it. I love Walken's character reaction to Zeljko Ivanek's threat and the closing joke from Rockwell's character is rather good.
Here's the first trailer for Seven Psychopaths, I definitely look forward to more:
