Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters trailer doesn't look good
To be perfectly honest I wasn't expecting much from Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and the trailer hasn't disappointed, however what has happened is that it's turned out to be far cheesier than I thought and it reminds me of another monster hunter film that some will dislike.
Me? I rather liked Van Helsing as I knew what I was getting, it was a rather fun action adventure that was also rather daft, and that's what it looks like we're getting with Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.
Here's the blurb for the film:
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters takes place 15 years after the siblings' incident at the gingerbread house. The two are now specialized bounty hunters looking to put down the cackling black-hat set.
So that's pretty much what Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is. It's co-written and directed by Tommy Wirkola with Dante Harper also co-writing the story that stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as the leading characters and Famke Janssen, the gorgeous and fantastic actress who will undoubtedly turn out to be the Witch character they're after.
Watching the trailer for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters I was struck by how similar it felt to Van Helsing and how daft the weapons all looked, I was starting to think it was turning into Wild Wild West at one point. I don't really have much hope for the film to be honest but then the cast is interesting. What do you think?
