A full trailer arrived a little while ago for The Girl, the film from Julian Jarrold about Alfred Hitchcock and his relationship with his leading lady for The Birds and Marnie, Tippi Hedren. It stars Toby Jones as Hitchcock and Sienna Miller as Hedren with Imelda Staunton playing Mrs Hitchcock, a great cast indeed.

The trailer gives us more of what we were expecting to get, an edgy film with an unnerving tension between the two characters and suggesting that Hitchcock was perhaps a little unhinged when it came to his leading lady.

There's not much to go with the trailer as way of a blurb other than reminding us that the film is about the relationship between the two so we might as well just leap into the trailer.

One great thing about the trailer for The Girl, which comes through TrailerAddict, is the feeling that you are back in time and watching something happening behind the scenes. The costumes and style are really rather well done.
