Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters new trailer

HanselandGretel.jpgA new rather gory and rather fun trailer for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters has arrived online, this is the film that features Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner as the aforementioned all grown up and rather lovely looking Hansel and Gretel fairytale characters, however they've grown up just like that bloke Van Helsing, strange modern weapons and all.

This trailer gives us much more blood but also a lot more storyline as well and it's looking pretty clear what we're going to expect from the trailer.

Here's the blurb for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters:

In this dark spin on the fairy tale, siblings Hansel and Gretel are a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world.

I'm not sure how dark the spin is on the tale but it has certainly been reworked, however it does look so much like Van Helsing did from the gadget like weapons to the mythical creatures who are attacking ye olde village.

I know there's blood, I know there are Kate Beckinsale and Hugh Jackman, oh no I mean Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner, and they're pitched against Famke Janssen and her band of creatures, but despite all those massive differences it does look a lot like Van Helsing.

Have a look for yourself with the trailer which comes through IGN and :

What did you think of that then? Any guesses about the girl that seems to be helping out Renner's character after his big speech? Not going to be too surprising is it? Convince me I shouldn't be thinking Van Helsing.
