Stunning new Flight trailer
Wow, there are a good few trailers I'm carrying today that are surprisingly strong and Flight is another one that hits home hard, not least because of the stunning plane crash footage that we're treated to which is just the beginning of the story.
The film is loosely based on real life events as well when a pilot successfully glided a passenger plane to a safe landing without any fuel and during the aftermath of fame he was exposed as having a criminal past and his private life was made public. That's not the only reason to watch it, this is Robert Zemeckis' first live action film in ages.
Denzel Washington stars as the pilot who has a drinking problem and during a mid-air failure he carries out an insane manoeuvre that saves the plane and the passengers. As simulations are carried out after the fact it seems that no one can save the plane and his actions appear to be unique and heroic. That is until the blood tests from after the crash reveal that he had been drinking.
The film has a great cast as John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Bruce Greenwood, Melissa Leo and more star, and with Robert Zemeckis directing this is definitely one to look out for.
Here's the new trailer for Flight which comes through Deadline:
Wow does that look good. So although Zemeckis isn't filling the film with motion capture he is pouring in CG, great CG and relevant CG. Damn this film looks good doesn't it?
Again another February 2013 release for the UK with America, Russia, Turkey, Denmark, Belgium, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Argentina and the Netherlands getting the film before another long list of countries spanning out until March. That's a fair wait for the film and strange that Flight is taking flight in so many countries before the UK.
