Lincoln trailer shows more story
I don't tend to keep writing about every trailer iteration that appears online for films because they don't tend to offer us anything new, but sometimes there are some films that do and each new trailer gives us something more about the film than the last, and I don't just mean more footage. Lincoln is such a film.
There's another new trailer online for the film and it gives a stronger feel of how the character of Lincoln is going to be portrayed and gives a more focussed view on the character himself.
The trailers so far for Lincoln have been good and this one is even better. I'm wondering if we could end up seeing a Steven Spielberg classic.
Here's the blurb for the film:
Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln, a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th Presidents tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.
As if you needed reminded what a film about Lincoln would entail, but you know the historical fact or at least you should do, so what about the man himself and the reality of the task he faced, I think the new trailer through TrailerAddict gives us a good sense of that:
It also totally disguises Daniel Day-Lewis who delivers another totally immersed role. There's growing belief that the critics and awards are going to be racing towards this one.
