New trailer for Salles' On the Road
I wasn't all that taken with the first trailer for Walter Salles' On the Road starring Sam Riley, Garret Hedlund and Kristen Stewart, but this second trailer has drawn me more towards it as it reveals more of the stories and the main relationship between the two male leads.
Salles directs from Jose Rivera's screenplay adapted from the Jack Kerouac novel, and the film also stars names such as Amy Adams, Viggo Mortensen, Steve Buscemi, Terrence Howard and Alice Braga.
While the trailers haven't been grabbing me for the film we have to welcome something like this especially when there are so many teen-angst films on the way, just look at the trailers I've written about today. Through all that there's some emotional, adult entertainment - no not that kind - credited the audience with intelligence. I definitely shouldn't be so dismissive of it.
Here's the official blurb for On the Road:
Young writer Sal Paradise has his life shaken by the arrival of free-spirited Dean Moriarty and his girl, Marylou. As they travel across the country, they encounter a mix of people who each impact their journey indelibly.
Here's the trailer through Deadline for the film which continues Kristen Stewart's turn away from Twilight although this is not the main draw of the film and the new trailer states that well:
