Soderbergh's Side Effects trailer
Steven Soderbergh's next film is Side Effects and is a psychological thriller starring Jude Law, Rooney Mara, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Channing Tatum, a good cast with a fantastic director and to add to that the writer is Scott Z. Burns - Pu-239, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Informant! and Contagion.
So it's great to see the trailer that's arrived for the film and find out just how much of a psychological thriller it looks. Having just watched it I can tell you that it looks like it's a good one.
The story for Side Effects is based around the pharmaceutical industry although I'm not sure if this is a standard thriller with the backdrop being the drug industry or if it's more entwined. I would presume the latter but the blurb suggests it could go either way.
Side Effects is a psychological thriller set in the world of the pharmaceutical industry. A troubled woman (Mara) who is coping with the imminent release of her husband (Tatum) from jail begins to take a new prescription drug with unforeseen consequences.
Here's the trailer for Side Effects through TrailerAddict and it does look dark and pretty heavy stuff.
I do love that line at the end of the trailer:In some circumstances, death may occur
Just because it's Steven Soderbergh and Scott Z. Burns I'm in, I don't care who's in front of the camera.
