Stalker's Top Ten 2012: Chris' Top Ten non-English Films

10FSReel.jpgA quick list next up from Chris who has given us a straight up, no frills, top ten list. Don't get me wrong though, although I say no frills that doesn't mean this isn't a good list it's actually surprisingly good.

Chris has a number of films on his list that I would agree with and he's also selected his top ten from non-English films, not just non-Hollywood but those from other countries and it's a good list.

Before we head to the first list covering the film world of 2012 here's a quick reminder of how to submit your own list.

It can be about anything you want, film related of course, and it doesn't have to be exactly ten, just make the list under a common theme and write something about each entry, it doesn't have to be much but it does have to be something more than a list, something a little about why you chose it.

Once written just submit your list through the following email link which sends it through to me and helpfully gets filtered into the right folder! topten@filmstalker.co.uk.

Oh and remember to include how you'd like to be known in the article along with a link to a site or an online profile for yourself, if you have one.

For some inspiration you can look at the other Stalker's Top Lists from this and previous years.

Now it's back to Chris' list. Chris writes at SubtitleMePlease a great site which specialises in International genre films from around the world and his Top Ten list of 2012.

Well, they aren't actually the Top Ten list of 2012 but the Top Ten list of films he's seen in 2012, still that's a worthwhile list especially when they contain such strong films. If you haven't seen these already you should.

10. Mandrill (2009) - Chile
9. Tony Manero (2008) - Chile
8. Taped (2012) - Netherlands
7. Black's Game (Filmstalker review) (2012) - Iceland
6. Headhunters (Filmstalker Review) (2011) - Norway
5. A Desire to Kill (2010) (Enemy At The Dead End) - Korea
4. Bullhead (2011) - Belgium
3. Snabba Cash (Easy Money) (2010) - Sweden
2. No Rest for the Wicked (No habrá paz para los malvados) (2011) - Spain
1. Sleepless Night (Nuit blanche) (Filmstalker review) (2011) - France

I would have fired Headhunters (Filmstalker Review) way up that list personally, and in fact I might have pushed it above Sleepless Night (Nuit blanche) (Filmstalker review) right to the number one spot. Have you seen any of these films and would you agree, or have you seen any other foreign films that would be on that list if you had written it?

Get your thoughts in the comments and let us both know or write your own list there's still plenty of time, awards ceremonies for last year are still in mid swing so you can still have your say.
