Does Erased trailer offer anything new?

AaronEckhart.jpgAaron Eckhart starring, writer of Grace of Monaco and I Am Legend 2 Arash Amel, and director of North Face Philipp Stölzl, sees like a decent mix. Except the idea seems like something we've seen before, we'll know how it all plays out and the only real surprise will be in the twists and turns it delivers on the way.

The trailer does look good as action films go though, and the initial premise is an interesting one, however I just get the feeling we're going down the same old route once we're into the film itself.

Here's the blurb for Erased which once went by the name of The Expatriate, perhaps it was too difficult for audiences to understand? Mind you now whenever I say the title I can't help but thinking of Eraser...or Erasure:

When ex-CIA agent Ben Logan discovers that he and his daughter have been marked for termination as part of a wide-reaching international conspiracy, a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse ensues as Logan tries to outsmart his hunters and uncover the truth.

Now here's the trailer which comes from Yahoo Movies through First Showing:

It does look exciting but does it really offer anything more?
