White House Down trailer promises action

WhiteHouseDown.jpgNow don't get confused, this is not Olympus Has Fallen, the White House terrorist attack film starring Gerard Butler from director Antoine Fuqua, this is the Roland Emmerich film starring Channing Tatum.

White House Down also has Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Richard Jenkins, Lance Reddick, Jason Clarke and more, rivalling well the cast of Olympus Has Fallen, but how will Emmmerich stand up to Fuqua?

Antione Fuqua has more the intelligent, gritty action film behind him while Roland Emmerich is more known for blowing things up, something the opening of the trailer confirms and does so with the interesting take of television footage.

Here's the blurb for White House Down:

Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation's government falling into chaos and time running out, it's up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

There's no doubt that Emmerich is going all out for the action side of things, you only have to watch this trailer to see it. Mind you, the effects look great, the editing and score for the trailer are superb, and all in all it looks like a winner.
