Filth trailer, McAvoy's filthy

Filth.jpgIrvine Welsh's novel Filth has finally made it to the big screen with the help of the writing and directing of Jon S. Baird who I last saw on the excellent Cass.

The film stars James McAvoy along with plenty of British talent including: Imogen Poots, Jamie Bell, Eddie Marsan, Jim Broadbent, Kate Dickie, Martin Compston, Joanne Froggatt, Emun Elliott, David Soul - wait he's not British, oh never mind - Shauna Macdonald, Shirley Henderson, and more.

The plot for Filth is pretty simple and covers Irvine Welsh's favourite topics all of which are shown in the trailer. Oh, and its one hell of a trailer.

Here's the blurb for the film first:

A bipolar bigoted junkie cop, manipulates and hallucinates his way through the festive season in a bid to secure promotion and win back his wife and daughter.

Now here's the trailer for Filth, and be warned this is a BBFC 18 trailer - now how often do I get to say that? It's usually always MPAA Red Band, well because this is the BBFC rating you know they mean it.
