The Hunger Games: Catching Fire teaser trailer

HungerGamesCatchingFire.jpgI haven't seen The Hunger Games as yet, to be honest I wasn't sold by it since it was pushing the teen friendly series through the marketing I expected little, but it did well and now the sequel is taking it in an interesting direction. Now I think I might get on board.

The new trailer shows us the direction of the second story and it does look like it's going to get darker, the question is will they push it any or keep it nice and teen friendly? As the audience from the original grows, so should the films, Harry Potter showed us how well that worked.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to expand the world that has been developed so far and take things beyond the games and into the politics of the world. Here's the blurb for the film:

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

The trailer shows us that this could be set to deliver a lot more than expected from the teen-series moniker that is being attached to it. This certainly looks like it could be a little darker and weightier than we might expect.

Here's the trailer that comes through TrailerAddict for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, a trailer which shows the strong cast with a number of recognisable faces, most returning and some new.

You know from this trailer I could really get into it now.
