The World's End full trailer
The full trailer for The World's End, the third in the trilogy of films from the Wright-Pegg- Frost team is not far off and I have to admit that the first trailer I saw I wasn't too taken with. Now this fuller trailer has me more interested.
Mind you I remember seeing the early Hot Fuzz (Filmstalker review) trailer and not being hugely sold and look how that turned out. Now it's The World's End which, together with the golden mile pub crawl, sounds like it should really have been filmed in Edinburgh. No matter, it's looking good.
This time we're seeing a group of old friends meeting up to try and recapture their youth, to try and complete the ultimate pub crawl through their village that they never managed to do when they were young, however there's a problem. No one in the villages seems to be the way they remember.
Here's the blurb for The World's End:
20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King, a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub - The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries.
Here's the trailer that comes through Yahoo Movies. See what you think of The World's End, will it be the fitting end to cap the trilogy started with Shaun of the Dead, and peaked amazingly by Hot Fuzz (Filmstalker review)? You be the judge.
