Getaway trailer has Hawke and Cobra

Getaway.jpgHawke and Cobra, it's almost sounding like a cool film in itself, anyway Getaway is a film that stars Ethan Hawke as an ex-racing driver who is forced to follow the orders of an unknown man in order to save his kidnapped wife.

It isn't yet clear what he has to do but the trailer is filled with action and a lot of police trying to stop him, as well as a certain Selena Gomez in the passenger seat.

The great thing about this is that he's driving a Shelby Cobra Mustang, product placement that I don't mind in a film, and that the car action looks like it could be more practical than anything and pretty spectacular in places.

Well I say that and then there's the scene showing the escaping from under the falling tower by driving directly underneath and parallel to it. Brake, turn, drive perpendicular and you'll be free of it on no time. It's a small issue which is laughable but is insignificant compared to the rest of the trailer which almost feels like a Fast and Furious film.

Behind the camera for Getaway are two directors, Courtney Solomon and Yaron Levy, while the two writers and Levy are first timers, Solomon previously directed An American Haunting and Dungeons & Dragons.

Here's the revved up trailer for Getaway through Apple Trailers and Deadline that looks like it'll get the petrol heads roaring early on.
