Prisoners trailer hits hard
Prisoners might resonate with audiences in the UK just now and will still do the same for audiences in countries where there isn't a current case that reflects the opening of this film. From the plot outline alone the story looks a powerful one then you have the names behind it.
Denis Villeneuve directed the film, he also directed Incendies, and Aaron Guzikowski wrote the script, he also wrote the remake of Contraband. Then there's the cast with Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Maria Bello, Terrence Howard, Paul Dano, Viola Davis and Melissa Leo.
That's a great cast and throughout the trailer Hugh Jackman looks like he's pouring in the emotion, the latter half looks very powerful and the story looks like it's going to have you on questioning what you would do and what the right thing to do is.
Here's the plot outline for Prisoners:
Keller Dover is facing every parent's worst nightmare. His 6-year-old daughter and her young friend are missing, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect's release. Knowing his child's life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. The desperate father will do whatever it takes to find the girls, but in doing so, may lose himself, begging the question: When do you cross the line between seeking justice and becoming a vigilante?
The trailer for Prisoners through TrailerAddict does look really strong, this is one to put on your watch list. It's due out in late September in the US and early October in the UK.
