Filmstalker EIFF 2009 Roundup: Episode 8: The Private Lives of Pippa Lee

Microphone.jpgThe eighth in the series of Filmstalker EIFF 2009 Roundup audiocasts has myself, Stuart and Jonathan discussing The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, starring Robin Wright-Penn in the leading role and surrounded by a strong supporting cast.

The film is written, adapted and directed by Rebecca Miller. It sees Pippa Lee accepting the decision of her much older husband to move to a suburban retirement home to spend his final years. However her life is just beginning to fall apart as she starts reflecting on her past and the person she once was begins to return to the fore.

If you haven't been following this series of audiocasts, then you can catch up by starting with Episode 1: Introduction and take it from there.

After this episode we'll be talking about the film Terribly Happy (Frygtelig lykkelig).

In the meantime, here's the eigth in the series where myself, Stuart Wood, from Cinemablend, and Jonathan Melville from itsonitsgone discuss The Private Lives of Pippa Lee...and a little about the delictable Robin Wright-Penn.
