First five minutes of Sucker Punch online

SuckerPunch.jpgThe awesome opening of Sucker Punch is online to view, and it looks fantastic, drives at a relentless pace, and even those opening scenes are enough to have the tension rising and you feeling slightly off key about the story. It's rather fantastic.

I'm not holding court to all the naysayers about the film, I'm keen to see it for myself as I've seen enough said from people I trust to tell me this is going to be one hell of a ride, and I do believe that Zack Snyder is going to be delivering another amazing film.

I am beginning to wonder that in ten or more years if Zack Snyder is going to be hailed as a bit of a visionary in cinema, I certainly think he's headed that way already as you just have to look at some of the films he's delivered, and that includes the Watchmen (Filmstalker review), the film that so many directors and studios attempted but labelled as un-filmable.

I think that Sucker Punch is going to be another of those great moments where you'll just be blown away by what's on offer, and it's not all about the visuals. While I watched those opening minutes below I was most definitely feeling on edge, off kilter, and I could feel the tension rising. It looks great and it captures you right from the opening moment. That's something that doesn't happen with every film isn't it?

Here's the opening five minutes of Sucker Punch with some additional footage on the end, I'm totally in. I'm just hugely disappointed that I won't see it till after the weekend.

The clip comes through Metacafe and Coming Soon:

I just saw Zack Snyder on BBC Breakfast and, apart from having a problem stringing a sentance together at that time of the morning, he came across rather well when presented with the argument about the level of violence in the film and what that meant for the rating. Vanessa Hudgens was also there and talked about how she felt empowered by the film. Definitely looking forward to it.
