Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon French trailer

TransformersDarkoftheMoon.jpgA French language trailer for Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon has arrived online and it's reinforcing the idea that this is indeed dark. It looks like Michael Bay has really pushed the comedy and silliness to the side and has been adding epic-ness to the film in droves.

Although I'm starting to pick up some phrases, since I'm learning French for my F1 trip to Montreal, I still didn't get much of the trailer, but that doesn't matter, the images speak for themselves and I don't mean in the usual Bay sense of the word, and I mean that in a positive, complimentary way Mr Bay.

So far the trailers for Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon have really surprised me, they are looking mean, dark and moody, and it's certainly carrying a slice of seriousness along with them.

What strikes me too about this tact is that if he pulls it off and it's not just a few cut scenes from a trailer then we could end up seeing a transformed Transformers and there's going to be a call for more in this tone. The question is would Michael Bay do it?

Here's the new French trailer, see what you think, but I'm excited by this shift. Let's hope.
