Project X trailer looks interesting

NimaNourizadeh.jpgNow Project X is a trailer about a bunch of teenagers having a wild party that goes out of control, and while that would normally fill me with dread and the thought of the usual teen comedy jokes galore, it actually looks far from it, it looks like it could be interesting.

Firstly it presents an interesting viewpoint, it plays the story out well and there's some strong photography in there. Oh, and to top it all it seems to include riot police and a gun battle, this is some wild party.

If anything there's a Cloverfield (Filmstalker review) feeling to the trailer, something that looks like the escalation is going to meet heights never before seen or expected, and filmed in a very realistic style.

Thankfully the cast isn't peppered with forty year old actors still pretending to be teenagers, bumbling and fumbling their lines and playing the same character as they have since they started their career. No, that kind of thing is reserved for another trailer written about today. Mind you, there's a writer on that other film that's also on Project X - Michael Bacall, and he came up with the story. Yet how radically different the two films feel.

Project X looks like it could be a lot of fun, here's the short blurb followed by the trailer which you can see over at Apple Trailers through TrailerAddict.

Three high school seniors throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things spiral out of control as word of the party spreads.
