Café De Flore trailer builds superb tension

CafedeFlore.jpgThe trailer might not manage to spell out the plot clearly, but that's because the plot does seem a little more complex than your average film, but the trailer does put forward a damn strong thriller in Café De Flore, and one you should give some time to.

The film comes from writer and director Jean-Marc Vallée and stars a name you might all recognise, Vanessa Paradis.

There are a number of blurbs for Café De Flore, here's the very short one:

A love story between a man and woman. And between a mother and her son. A mystical and fantastical odyssey on love.

How about a medium one because looking at the full IMDB blurb written by Jean-Marc Vallée himself it does look like it contains a lot of information and I don't really want to read through it, plus it's just massive. So here we go with a cut down version which comes through the Deadline story:

...explores the parallel fates of a young mother with a disabled son in 1960s Paris and a divorced, successful DJ in contemporary Montreal. Jean-Marc Vallée (C.R.A.Z.Y, The Young Victoria), directed the film that stars Vanessa Paradis (Girl On The Bridge), Kevin Parent and Hélène Florent. Adopt Films releases Café De Flore in the U.S. on November 2nd.

I have to admit that I totally missed the May release date for this film and the November release date is only for a final, limited US release, but there are plenty of other ways to watch the film.
