Tarzan animated film trailer online

Tarzan.jpgIf you didn't know there's been a new treatment of Tarzan in the works, one that would appear to be going back to the original story and not trying to do something overly fancy with a modern remake, and what's more is that it's going to be an animated film in 3D.

Ouch. 3D. Well, drop that to the side for the meantime and let's look to the fact that it's animated and the trailer does look absolutely gorgeous. I have to admit that for the first few moments I wasn't sure if it was slightly post-production stylised real life footage or actually animated.

The close up of the faces gave it away but not by a great deal. The animation in Tarzan looks absolutely stunning and is made possible through motion capture. It certainly hasn't needed to do anything else than just show me some amazing footage.

Here's the blurb for the new Tarzan co-written and directed by Reinhard Klooss and co-written by Jessica Postigo and Yoni Brenner:

Tarzan and Jane Porter face a mercenary army dispatched by the evil CEO of Greystoke Energies, a man who took over the company from Tarzan's parents, after they died in a plane crash.

Now here's that teaser trailer through TrailerAddict which should have you rather surprised at how great it looks.

Well? Now we just need a story trailer.
