Washington and Wahlberg in 2 Guns trailer

2Guns.jpgI am completely in love with this trailer and the cast. Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg on form and looking perfect as the odd pairing with names like Edward James Olmos, Bill Paxton and Fred Ward in the background, in a story with DEA and Special Forces versus the CIA and the mob.

It sounds crazy and the trailer looks just as mad, but at the same time it looks fantastic.

The film is directed by Baltasar Kormákur who also directed Contraband, which was a rather good film actually, and starred in and produced Reykjavik-Rotterdam. It's written by Blake Masters who has written for Brotherhood and Law & Order: Los Angeles, but really it's the trailers and the names in front of the camera that are selling it.

I'm not the greatest fan of Mark Wahlberg but in this trailer he looks like he's really on it and with Denzel Washington beside him he really has to be. Plus there's Edward James Olmos, Bill Paxton and Fred Ward who are all going to add something unique to the film. It just looks great.

Here's the official blurb for 2 Guns:

A DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence officer who have been tasked with investigating one another find they have been set up by the mob -- the very organization the two men believe they have been stealing money from.

Here's the trailer which Deadline has from iTunes for 2 Guns and I have through TrailerAddict:
